Owner, Alicia Sisneros has been assisting Mi Via participants with self-direction since 2006 when she started as a Brain Injury Guide. Alicia has navigated the Mi Via program and has aided its participants with transitions from Fiscal Intermediaries and Third Party Assessor. Alicia has assisted Mi Via participants in the areas of self-determination, self-advocacy, and implementation of their SSP/budget while following program rules, requirements, and standards.
Alicia has vast experience working with individuals who have a wide range of disabilities. She has worked with individuals who have been diagnosed with Developmental Disability, HIV/AIDS, Brain Injury, Mental Illness, Medically Fragile, and Physical Health Impairments. Alicia has two children of her own that were adopted from Child Protected Services who have their own disabilities that require services from the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) Services, and the Self-Directed Community Benefit program (SDCB). Alicia has knowledge of each of New Mexico's waiver programs and related programs for individuals with disabilities and can help Mi Via participants navigate all resources New Mexico has to offer.
In order to give Mi Via participants the confidence to make choices on how they want to live and work in our community with dignity and respect, Alicia believes in hiring staff who are well educated about the Mi Via program and have knowledge and experience working with families and participants with disabilities.
